Use of our services
1. All of our medical services are given in the greatest confidence, and according to current best practice guidelines. Nevertheless, please do not assume that treatment or advice that is recommended by staff at The Frater Clinic Ltd is the only option available.
2. The Frater Clinic Ltd has a zero-tolerance policy regarding the verbal or physical abuse of our staff, other patients, or damage to our property. Offenders will be referred immediately, with appropriate supporting evidence, to the police for prosecution.
3. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. However, with consent of both parties, a child under 16 may be seen privately for non-intimate examinations by a same-sex or female clinician.
4. Every patient attending The Frater Clinic will be offered a chaperone for any intimate examination or procedure. The chaperone will speak to the patient privately first to gain their consent and agree procedure. The chaperone can be a nurse or a female member of reception staff when a nurse is not available. Alternatively, the patient may bring a relative or friend. If this is unacceptable to you, please ask to see a same-sex or female clinician when booking.
5. You must reply honestly when our doctors request information. The Frater Clinic Ltd takes no responsibility if you withhold information or are dishonest.
6. The Frater Clinic reserves the right to refuse to administer a treatment if a doctor or nurse deems it inappropriate.
7. Although most blood and laboratory test results are received within 24 hours please be aware that the disclosure of certain test results is dependent on appropriate pre- and post-test counselling.
8. Please be aware that prices are subject to change without notice. Cost of treatment, however, will always be discussed with the patient prior to commencement.
9. Quotes for services may change if the patient's assumed diagnosis reveals itself to be more complex than or different from that which was originally quoted for.
10. The cost of medication prescribed by a doctor at The Frater Clinic Ltd must be met by the patient.
11. Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance or a fee might have to be paid.
